From the THEATER BUG NEWS page you can use many features that can benefit your group:

1. THEATER BUG CALENDAR: Once you have an MSN PASSPORT (free: See "TOOLS" below.) You can add and edit your own entries into the calendar. This calendar is viewed by other members of Westchester Community Theater allowing your show support from other groups and better notification of your auditions and performance schedule.

2. THEATER BUG BOARD: Once you have an MSN PASSPORT (free: See "TOOLS" below.) You will be able to start a discussion, post your news or rant about a related subject. The best way to describe this section of the site is that it's like leaving messages on the wall. You drop by, write what is on your mind, give it a topic. Sometime later, someone else will stop by and ADD to your topic and then before you know it, you've got a community wide discussion going on.

3. THEATER BUG CHAT: Once you have an MSN PASSPORT (free: See "TOOLS" below.) You will be able to chat with other members of the community LIVE while on line. The suggestion here is to combine this feature with the BUG BOARD; POST A TIME that you would like to start a discussion, and people will show up and, hopefully, bring their own chips and dip.

4. PHOTO ALBUMS: There are different photo albums available. Some are specific to a group, and then there are those that are just generic "Shoe-Boxes" that can be filled with your favorite moments from community theater. Once you have an MSN PASSPORT (free: See "TOOLS" below.) You can upload your picture to these albums. When uploading your picture, try to give it a description that best describes the moment such as "John Doe playing BILL in OLIVER Best Players, 1988".

5. THE WEB JOURNAL: Once you have an MSN PASSPORT (free: See "TOOLS" below.) You can post an important event that may have occurred that everyone should know about in the Community. This is NOT a discussion board, so post only important events.

6. FILES: There is a feature added to this site where you can upload and download files. For example, you can upload a ZIP file of a collection of pictures from a show, or a selection of script excerpts in Document (Text) format. The only rule here is to make the file size moderate to small in size. There is a limited amount of space on this site and we should share it politely.

7. TOOLS: This is an MSN Community feature. This is where you want to go to become a MEMBER of "Theater Bugs" as well as getting your PASSPORT. Once you have an MSN PASSPORT (free) you can CREATE YOUR OWN SITE and link it to THEATER BUGS. By creating your own site you will be able to make a web-home for your GROUP posting information that only they will appreciate (meetings, records, transcripts and all the same features you will find right here on the Theater Bugs site!).

8. E-MAIL: If you are finding that you are having trouble entering your group's info on our Calendar, don't sweat it!

E-MAIL us all of the information required to get the people to your ticket booth (Date, Time, Name of show, directions, contact info. . . ) and we will post it for you!

9. HAVE FUN!: This is the most important direction. Please enjoy this site for FREE. It was designed for you to mingle with the rest of the Westchester Theater Community and bring us all a little closer.
